Dr. Cameron Bruner is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined the amaEyes team in 2024, bringing with him a wealth of surgical expertise, a passion for patient-centered care, and an enthusiasm for the transformative power of modern eye medicine. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Dr. Bruner has lived and trained across the country, from Utah and Texas to Brazil, before proudly settling in Marysville, Ohio, with his family.

Dr. Bruner graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. His outstanding academic performance laid the foundation for a distinguished medical career.

Medical Degree
Dr. Bruner earned his medical degree from McGovern Medical School in Houston, Texas, where he received multiple academic scholarships. During his medical school years, he demonstrated a commitment to community service by volunteering with student ophthalmology groups, providing vision screenings and outreach education to underserved populations.
For his exceptional academic achievements, Dr. Bruner was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the prestigious national medical honor society, a distinction reserved for the highest-performing medical students in the country.

Internship & Residency
Dr. Bruner completed both his internal medicine internship and ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. There, he trained in the latest microsurgical techniques and technologies in the field and authored publications in multiple peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of ophthalmologic science.

Life Outside the Clinic

Having called Seattle, Utah, Brazil, and Texas home at various points in his life, Dr. Bruner is thrilled to put down roots in Ohio with his wife, Shelley, their two daughters, and their dog. The Bruner family loves exploring Columbus, from its parks and the zoo to hunting down the best new dessert spots in the city.
When he’s not in the operating room or clinic, Dr. Bruner enjoys traveling, skiing, and reading, pursuits that keep him curious, grounded, and energized for the meaningful work he does each day.
