About Dr. Agnone

Although Dr. Agnone is retired from practicing at our office, our team remains deeply grateful for the vision, leadership, and foundation she built. As the founder of Agnone, Morrison & Associates, Eye Physicians and Surgeons, Inc., in Marysville, OH, she shaped the level of care and commitment that continues to guide our team today. A board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Agnone dedicated her career to providing exceptional medical and surgical eye care.

Dr. Agnone completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Ohio University in Athens, OH, and earned her medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, where she received the Department of Surgery Award for Outstanding Achievement in General Surgery along with Honors in Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, General Surgery Research, and Plastic Surgery Research. She completed a combined general surgery and internal medicine internship (transition year) at Riverside Methodist Hospital (now OhioHealth) and pursued her ophthalmology residency at The Ohio State University. She later earned a Master’s Degree from Harvard University in Boston, MA, and served for 10 years as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Specialty Medicine at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, teaching medical students the fundamentals of ophthalmologic care.

Throughout her years in practice in Columbus and Marysville, Dr. Agnone held numerous leadership roles, including Chairman of the Public Policy Committee of the Columbus Medical Association and membership on the Medical Society Alumni Awards Committee for The Ohio State University College of Medicine and School of Public Health. She served on the Board of Directors of the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association in Alexandria, VA, and on the Board of Directors of the Ohio State University Hospitals University Self Insurance Program. She was also a member of the Medical School Admissions Committee at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the School of Public Health. Dr. Agnone is a past President of the Columbus Medical Association and was elected by her peers as one of the Best Doctors in America® each year since 2011. She was also elected to the Medical Review Club of Columbus and served as its president from 2011–2013.

In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Agnone has been an active volunteer with Surgical Eye Missions in Bolivia, Jamaica, Nicaragua, and Haiti, as well as with Project Medishare, University of Florida, serving in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. She continues to value wellness and holistic health, embracing lifestyle habits that promote well-being, including healthy eating, movement, adventure, and balance. Outside of medicine, she enjoys time with her family, traveling, exercising, and fully enjoying life.
