Dr. Jill Foster is a board-certified ophthalmologist and nationally recognized specialist in reconstructive and plastic surgery of the eye and face. A true pioneer in her field, Dr. Foster has spent decades at the forefront of oculoplastic surgery and cosmetic innovation,  from shaping the FDA approval process for cosmetic Botox to training physicians across the country in its proper use.

Education & Training

Medical Degree

Dr. Foster earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine, establishing a strong academic foundation before pursuing her ophthalmic specialty training.

Internship

She completed her Internal Medicine internship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, gaining broad clinical experience before specializing.

Ophthalmology Residency

Dr. Foster completed her ophthalmology residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, where she developed her clinical expertise in eye disease and surgery.

Orbitofacial Surgery Fellowship

Following residency, Dr. Foster completed a prestigious two-year fellowship in Orbitofacial Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania,  one of the nation’s premier programs for advanced plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eye and face. This highly specialized training shaped her into one of the leading oculoplastic surgeons in the country.

Dr. Foster has held several distinguished leadership and academic positions throughout her career:

• Director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH (1992–2000)

• Head of Aesthetic Services, The Eye Center, Columbus, OH
• Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, The Ohio State University
• Consultant, Allergan (maker of Botox)

A Pioneer in Cosmetic Botox

Dr. Foster is widely recognized as a trailblazer in the field of cosmetic Botox. She authored the very first peer-reviewed article on the subject and played an active role in the FDA approval process for cosmetic Botox,  helping shape the standards and practices that physicians follow to this day.

As an Allergan consultant and international lecturer, Dr. Foster travels the world educating fellow physicians on proper Botox injection techniques. She also trains doctors throughout the United States, ensuring that this transformative treatment is delivered safely, precisely, and effectively.
