CATARACTs

Cataracts are a thickening and clouding of the eye lens that leads to decreased vision. Nearly every person will get cataracts over their lifetime, but this condition is treatable. Our office consults with patients to determine the best intraocular lens (IOL) for their individual needs. During cataract surgery this new synthetic lens is placed in the eye to replace the damaged lens.

People with AMD have problems seeing fine details right in front of them, but their peripheral vision is clear.
